Quick answer
A certified translation is a complete translation plus a signed Certificate of Accuracy confirming it is true and complete and that the translator is competent in the language pair. Ours are accepted by USCIS, courts, embassies and universities worldwide, meet U.S. 8 CFR §103.2(b)(3), cost $15 per page (up to 250 words), and are delivered in 24 hours. Urgent and notarized options are available.
WHAT IS A CERTIFIED TRANSLATION?
A certified translation is a translated document accompanied by a signed Certificate of Accuracy from the translator or agency, confirming the translation is complete, accurate and a true representation of the original. In the United States, USCIS requires a certified translation for any non-English document submitted with an immigration application; Canada (IRCC), the UK (Home Office), Australia and most EU countries have similar requirements. A notarized translation adds a further layer — a notary public witnesses and stamps the translator’s signature. We provide both, in any of the 50+ languages we cover.

FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
A complete, accurate translation accompanied by a signed Certificate of Accuracy in which the translator attests they are competent in the language pair and that the translation is true and complete. It’s the standard format required by USCIS and most authorities.
Yes. Our certified translations meet USCIS requirements under 8 CFR §103.2(b)(3): a full English translation plus a signed certification of accuracy and competence. Scanned PDFs are accepted for most initial USCIS e-filings; keep the signed copy for interviews.
Certified means a signed Certificate of Accuracy from the translator. Notarized adds a notary public who witnesses and stamps the signature. USCIS no longer requires notarization (removed in 2011), but some courts and foreign authorities still ask for it — add our $35 notarization if your institution requests it.
A sworn translation is produced by a translator officially authorised by a government body, common in Spain, France, Germany and much of continental Europe. If your receiving institution is in one of those countries, you may need a sworn translation rather than (or in addition to) a US-style certified one. Tell us the destination and we’ll confirm the right format.
